Land acknowledgement
"I respectfully acknowledge that we are on Treaty 6 territory, a traditional meeting grounds, gathering place, and travelling route to the Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Iroquois, Métis, Dene, Nakota Sioux, Ojibway, Anishinaabe and Inuit whose histories, languages and cultures influence and enrich our vibrant community. I acknowledge all the many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit whose footsteps have marked these lands for centuries. I will acknowledge this for as long as long as the sun shines, the grass grows and the river flows.”
